The hardanger fiddle is Norways secret weapon |
|
The music on RAM comes mainly from western Norway and Sogn og Fjordane. Synnøve S. Bjørset focuses on creating music that is simple and authentic, but also powerful and expressive. In her playing she emphasizes the rhythmic and melodic subtleties of fiddle music, and she aims at conveying these elements to the public. The special “groove” she achieves is one of the distinctive characteristics of the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle tradition.
